Timothy Simons (born 12 June 1978) is an American-born actor and comedian. He is renowned for Jonah Ryan’s role in the HBO TV series Veep.

Simons grew up in Readfield, Maine, the son of Susan and Ron Simons, and in 1996 graduated from the Maranacook High School.
He received his degree from Maine University in 2001. Simons is married to Annie Simons and was born in December 2011, they have twins. His daughter is named Hopper and Marty is named after his wife.

It was a difficult transition but he landed the part of Jonah shortly after. He did not look at the role at all when he came into the audition. The casting directors were looking for somebody who was short, bearded and some sort of chubby. Simons, who is tall and slim, gave the writers something special to deal with. Yet it did work.
Jonah, the character of Simons, begins the series as a lowly West Wing staffer. He’s a presidential contender facing off against Selina by the final season. It is a fun and wild journey.
