Aaron Judge was born on April 26, 1992, in Linden, California and grew up in Linden and nearby Oakdale. He attended Linden High School, where he played football and basketball, in addition to baseball. Judge was drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 31st round of the 2010 Major League Baseball Draft, but he decided to attend Fresno State University instead.
At Fresno State, Judge played college baseball for the Fresno State Bulldogs. As a freshman in 2011, he hit .346 with three home runs and 30 runs batted in (RBIs).
