Melissa Joan Hart is an American actress, director, producer, and businesswoman. She is best known for playing the title roles in the television series Clarissa Explains It All (1991–1994) and Sabrina the Teenage Witch (1996–2003). She has starred in films such as Drive Me Crazy (1999) and Nine Dead (2010). Hart has also been the host of several game shows, including Nickelodeon’s game show Figure It Out (1997–1999).
Early Life
Hart was born in Smithtown, New York, the daughter of Paula, a producer and talent manager, and William Hart, a carpenter, shellfish purveyor, clam hatchery worker, and entrepreneur. She has one older brother, Brian, and three younger sisters, Alexandra, Samantha, and Mackenzie. Hart’s parents had four other children after Melissa, but they were all put up for adoption.
